BCVAC holds CPR and First Aid classes at our headquarters on Fort Totten. Please keep checking this page for additional class dates.

All instructors are AHA (American Heart Association) certified and students who successfully complete the course will receive AHA course completion cards.

In accordance with AHA 2005 guidelines, our CPR classes are now broken down as follows;

(1) Adult & Child CPR with an option to attend Infant CPR

(2) Professional (aka BLS) CPR

 

Students may take the Adult & Child class alone or choose to stay an additional hour for the Infant module. The Infant class can no longer be taken by itself.

Students wishing to certify at the Professional level can now attend just the Professional class.

 

The cost for students is the same regardless of which CPR class is attended.

 

Residents in Bay Community's territory:

CPR: $35 / First Aid: $45 / CPR & First Aid: $60

 

All others (outside our territory):

CPR: $45 / First Aid: $50 / CPR & First Aid: $80

 

Bay Community's territory covers:

** the 11360 zip code North of 26th Ave. & East of 200th Street. **

 

Due to the AHA's new guidelines, classroom space is limited and books will be mailed to students in advance. For these reasons, all students not paying at least one week before the class date will be subject to an additional $10 fee.

PLEASE NOTE: Current CPR certification is a pre-requisite to the First Aid class.

 

Our next series of classes will be held in July & August 2010 -

Adult & Child / Infant* CPR: Sunday, July 25 @ 1pm-4pm**

Adult & Child / Infant* CPR: Wednesday, July 28 @ 7pm-10pm**

Professional CPR: Sunday, August 08 @ 1pm-5pm**

First Aid: Wednesday, August 04 and August 11 @ 7pm-10pm**

* Students wishing to stay for Infant CPR should expect to stay ~1 hour later.

** Class end times are approximate, depending on class size.
